  I started going to Nick's in the early 1980's when Chevron moved from SF to San Ramon. I was used to the old school Italians in SF and Marin doing my shoe repair. I like to wear expensive shoes so it has always been important to care and maintain them especially on the mean streets of SF. At first I tried Nick's because it was close and local. After the first visit, the excellent work, the understanding of how to repair and work on expensive Italian and French shoes, I realized how lucky I was to have access to such a craftsman. Nick is an extremely hard worker, humble, and always accommodating within reason of being fair to everyone. He was smart to chose that growing area to start his business. I no longer work in the area, but I still drive to San Ramon to have Nick repair my shoes or leather goods. We are lucky to have Nicks!
