  I travel a lot, and when in the S.F. East Bay area I have rented at many locations, and now I have settled on Budget San Ramon as the best in the area for my purposes. The staff has been extremely helpful, going out of their way on various occasions to meet my car rental needs. The service I have been given at this location is outstanding.
  I was previously searching and comparing prices at multiple locations in this area but now I don't even routinely check the other locations -- because I have gotten the best service and help at this location, the price has almost always been the lowest of any price I have found in the area, and I have generally found the selection to be adequate to get a very nice and newer car.
  Having rented in many locations in the U.S., and also in various nations, the help I have received from Budget San Ramon in terms of convenience, helpfulness, and price is at or near the top of the list of my favorite places to rent.
  Going to this location through Crow Canyon Rd from Castro Valley where I am currently staying is beautiful, in wonderful contrast to going to some other locations.
  This is in a nice community, has had in my experience a kind and friendly staff, and even the owner is very friendly and helpful.
  Some tips from a frequent renter that may account for some of my excellent experience:
  -- Call ahead if you can to make sure they have the type of car you're looking for, if your needs are specific, or show up early to look over the selection.
  -- Treat everyone with exceptional kindness, and it will usually be returned to you.
  My experience with this rental agency has in this way been outstanding, 5 stars.

  I rented a Nissan Altima last week end. It was a keyless car. When I got back home and stopped to get gas before returning the car, it wouldn't start. I got an error message stating "key ID incorrect" and the car would not start. It didn't have a key as a back up so I had to call roadside service and have the car towed. It took two hours for the tow-truck to arrive. It was 102 degrees outside! I will never rent a car that doesn't have a key nor will I rent from Budget again. Customer Service for roadside service was 3,000 miles away in Florida. They kept me on hold for 8 minutes and I finally hung up because my battery on my cell phone was running low.
